Here Comes Johnny

Woo hoo!

For those who are American football newbies, the quarterback is the one throwing the ball, the center is the one hiking the ball back between his legs, the receiver is the one the quarterback is throwing the ball at, and the safety is the one trying to stop the receiver from catching the ball and trying to catch it himself. I'm the one wearing the solid navy blue shirt. With way too much blond hair.

Wow Chris! What a treat. Thanks so much for posting that. You were awesome. All I had to do was put it up there, and you went and got it!

Funny thing though, I remember my passes being perfectly tight spirals, not what I'm seeing here--must be a result of the analog to digital process I guess. ;- )

Your pal,

"Too Tall" Troy

Yeah, but you could really heave it and that made a big difference. You're right they do look a bit choppy though. This went from my dad's Super-8 video camera of the day to a DVD which I played on a projector and took video of with my 6 year old Sony DCR-TRV25 (mini-DV) camera. I edited (minimally) from there.

Anyway, you can tell there was definitely some gridiron magic at work.

Indeed there was gridiron magic.

I LOVE the diving catch you make all stretched out dragging both feet! Brilliant!

The upside of the transfer process is that it makes us look REALLY fast, and heaven knows I was never that!

Thanks again for posting this. It was really special for me to watch this with my son the other day. He got a real kick out of seeing me play football at almost exactly the same age he is now. (He's 12 in April)
